Tonight’s Democratic presidential candidate debate will be the first time that former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren will share a stage. Many expect the night to add clarity about the positioning and point spread between the top three candidates and are looking to see if any of the candidates who have been polling from 4th place onward will have a breakaway moment. To discuss, Jim Braude was joined by LaTosha Brown, co-founder of the Black Voters Matter Fund and a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics; Steve Kerrigan, former congressional candidate and former CEO of the 2012 Democratic National Convention; and Alethea Harney, former press secretary for Sen. Warren’s Senate campaign, and former senior campaign adviser to Vice President Joe Biden.
