The long battle over President Donald Trump's tax returns continues. Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA), the chair of the the House Ways and Means Committee, sent a request Wednesday to the IRS asking for Trump's personal tax returns and some of his business tax returns from the last six years.

Trump once again cited an ongoing audit as prohibiting him from releasing his tax returns, according to Politico.

Chuck Todd, the moderator of Meet The Press, host of Meet the Press Daily on MSNBC, and the political director for NBC News, told Boston Public Radio that he does now think Neal will be able to make Trump release his tax returns.

"I promise you, the White House will be dragged kicking and screaming before it does this, before it complies, until a court of law. I expect every demand, every request, to be slow rolled by this administration. It is basically the one tactic they have," Todd said.

Todd joined BPR Thursday to talk about Trump's taxes and more.
