When the Framers of our Constitution drafted our right to bear arms, clearly they did not have assault weapons in mind. Now that  last week's mass shooting in Newtown, CT  has sparked a sincere debate about gun control in DC, can Democrats and Republicans  find common ground on gun issues?  Could  there be a bipartisan effort to get meaningful new gun laws passed in Congress?
