The Race for Barney Frank's Seat

Rep. Barney Frank is stepping down from his House seat at the end of this year. As soon as Frank announced his retirement candidates began positioning for a ballot spot. The saying goes that nature abhors a vacuum, and in the 4th Congressional District race that has certainly been the case.

WGBH's Adam Reilly recently attended forums for the many Republican and Democrat prospective candidates. He's here to talk about how the race is shaping up. The Massachusetts state primary is September 6.

Republican candidates:

Sean Bielat, Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof.

Democrat candidates:

Rachel Brown, Joseph Kennedy III and Herb Robinson.
