Following mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, that left the nation reeling, many have pointed to the need for authorities to crack down more on the threat of white nationalist terrorism. But some argue that doing so through monitoring hate speech on websites and social media would be improper because of free speech concerns.
