Sen. Warren’s DNA Test Shows 2020 Has Already Begun
After taunting from President Trump about her claims of Native ancestry, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren released a DNA test indicating she did indeed have a relative between 6 and 10 generations ago who was Native American. Warren is now calling on the president to release something in exchange that he has never made public — his tax returns. Jim Braude was joined by Jennifer Braceras, senior fellow with the Independent Women's Forum, and Scot Lehigh, op-ed columnist at The Boston Globe, to discuss this latest development in our national political discourse.

The Science Behind Addiction Shows Tough Love Isn’t Enough
A new film from NOVA, “Addiction,” chronicles the rise in prescription painkillers and the explosion in opioid addiction that followed — leading to a record 72,000 overdose deaths in the year 2017 alone. The documentary explains the science behind addiction and how our country’s medical system often doesn’t do people struggling with this chronic disease any favors. Jim Braude was joined by Sarah Holt, the producer of “Addiction:, and Dr. Laura Kehoe, one of the doctors featured in this documentary, who’s also the medical director of the Substance Use Disorder Bridge Clinic at Mass General Hospital.
