FULL SHOW: FBI Investigation; Survivors Speaking Out; Advise & Consent

Jeff Flake’s Many Promises
While in Boston, Arizona Senator Jeff Flake told protesters that he wants to ensure the FBI does “a real investigation” of accused Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh. However, there have been questions about the depth of that investigation. Jim Braude was joined by Patrick Moore, a former advisor for presidential personnel under Barack Obama who helped vet Merrick Garland; and George Price, a former federal law enforcement investigator, now an attorney with Casner and Edwards.

Heather Crowe Conner On Speaking Truth to Power
Over the past week, calls into rape crisis centers have surged with people sharing stories of assaults — along with fears of not being believed. Heather Crowe Conner is one of the women who has had to overcome this fear. Several years ago, she accused tennis legend Bob Hewitt of abusing her, starting when she was just 14 years old — a crime for which he was later ordered to pay her more than $1 million in restitution. Braude was joined by Conner, along with Gina Scaramella, executive director of the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center.

Lawrence Battle
As investigators in the Merrimack Valley piece together the events that led to the dozens of natural gas explosions and leaks three weeks ago — and Columbia Gas works to restore service — there's another controversy brewing in the region, involving the controversial former mayor of Lawrence. As Adam Reilly reports, he's been clashing with his successor over how city residents should respond.
