First issued in 1952 the tenth edition of “A Documentary History of the United States” is expanding into the digital age of historical documents, including President Trump’s tweets and the proliferation of fake news across platforms like Facebook.

Originally written by historian and PBS television host Richard D. Heffner — his grandson, Alexander has since taken the reins. Alexander also now hosts the television show his grandfather created called the “The Open Mind” — and he joined Adam Reilly, in for Jim Braude, to discuss.
