President Donald Trump’s decision to strike a Syrian air base last week has drawn a mix of support and confusion about our country’s role in the embattled nation’s years-long civil war. Trump said he launched the strike in response to the Syrian government launching a deadly chemical attack, but the U.S. strike could have consequences.
