WGBH News reporters took these photos over the course of a week following a massive fire in East Cambridge on Dec. 3. The fire damaged a total of 15 structures, many of them categorized as low-income housing. Officials continue to investigate the cause. The fire forced more than 125 residents to relocate to shelters, hotels, or with friends and family. The city is working with local developers to find housing for those displaced, according to Cambridge Mayor Denise Simmons, and has spearheaded a community effort to raise nearly $600,000 for the victims.
