Donald Trump’s election surprised many voters after nearly every national poll predicted a victory by Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Cabral went on to say she does not support those who say they voted for Trump based on his policy ideas. She said his biases should overshadow his plans for office.
“It’s sort of like saying, ‘I don’t agree with Hitler’s policy on genocide, but I really like his environmental policy and that’s why I’m going to vote for him,’” she said. “At some point, you have to make a decision about what this country is.”
