"First of all, I think if the USOC was serious about Agenda 2020, they would have picked Los Angeles because Los Angeles doesn't have to do all of the building that Boston has to do," said Zimbalist.
"They have been talking at the IOC about sustainability, about affordability, about other good things, since the 1990's but the fact that they talk about it doesn't mean that they do much about it."
Zimbalist discusses his recent Globle article on the hidden costs of the Olympics. "Already the Boston 2024 people have raised $14 million for their effort. Some of that is taking money away from important nonprofits."
