Casinos often evoke a “not in my backyard” sentiment, but not so much in Everett. Most residents there are betting on the $1.6 billion resort to improve their quality of life, and that’s at least partly due to developer Steve Wynn’s promise to clean up the long-vacant brownfield where he plans to build.
