One person was shot and three people were arrested after at least 20 gunshots were fired outside a Lowell home over the weekend.
Police responded to the duplex just after 3 a.m. Sunday after getting multiple 911 calls about gunfire.
Investigators tell The Sun that it appears as if bullets flew in two directions after someone shot at the duplex, because a glass-walled bus stop across the street from the home was struck and shattered by a round.
A short time later, a 30-year-old Lowell man showed up at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The man is expected to survive.
Two residents of the duplex were arrested on firearms charges and third on drug charges. They face arraignment Monday.
