Taped by WGBH Forum Network, author Sam Kean visited Harvard Book Store to discuss his book, The Tale of the Dueling Neurosurgeons: The History of the Human Brain as Revealed by True Stories of Trauma, Madness, and Recovery.

Kean talks about how patients like S.M. or conjoined twins have helped neuroscientists discover what different parts of the brain do.  He also explains what we're still learning about the brain and consciousness.
