Over the course of 35 days, jurors in the trial of James "Whitey" Bulger heard from no less than 72 witnesses. The one person they did not hear from was Bulger, himself, as he declined to testify.

After the verdict was read on Monday, Bulger's defense attorney, Jay Carney, said Bulger was pleased with the outcome of the trial. WGBH's Greater Boston spoke with Hank Brennan, a member of the Bulger defense team, about what it was like to represent Bulger and his response to the verdict.
