Tuesday night's show focused on the state's elders and their care.

First, the nonprofit Mass Home Care organizes seven Elder Mental Health Outreach teams around the state. One of them operates out of the Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services, and that's where Marina Colonas works as a Certified Older Adult Peer Specialist. Marina met Beryl Elise Hoffstein through her work as a specialist a couple years ago, and they've been friends ever since. At a time when the coronavirus is increasing the isolation between people, both say elder peer support is more important than ever.

Then, could you use a hug? Many people could. At the Dwyer Home, an independent living facility in Weymouth, they've set up a socially distanced hugging booth that allows residents and their families to embrace safely. We heard from Dwyer Home administrator Kenneth Strong on the mechanics of this booth.
