Puerto Rico is still reeling from the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria. From the start, independent and local organizations stepped up to help Puerto Ricans on the island and those starting over on the United States mainland. And as federal funding and assistance for the island continues to diminish, the role of these groups is exponentially increasing in importance.

Callie Crossley sits down with two local organizers to discuss how Massachusetts is helping the people of Puerto Rico who are still on the ravaged island and those who are now displaced in the Bay State.
