President Trump continued to promise to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act during his first address to Congress last night.

Medical ethicist and the director of the Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Langone Medical Center Art Caplan joined Boston Public Radio to discuss the vague options Trump and his fellow Republicans have given as replacements to the ACA and if it will ever truly be replaced.

“It is very complicated. However, since the Republicans who were screaming there about repeal and replace have had seven years to think about it and have come up with nothing, it must really be complicated,” said Caplan.

“Republicans have a problem, the plan that ultimately got put in Obamacare is Romney’s plan. It was a moderate Republican plan, it was their plan,” Caplan continued.
