WGBH's Adam Reilly offered an update on the testimony of Stephen Flemmi, former associate of James "Whitey" Bulger. Flemmi took the witness stand in Bulger's trial for the third day.

Last week Stephen "Stippo" Rakes was found dead in Lincoln, MA. Rakes had been scheduled to take the stand in the Bulger trial, but was dismissed at the last minute. The death added to the uneasiness and intrigue in Bulger's trial.

In his testimony so far, Flemmi has placed Bulger at the scene of several murders. Bulger's former right-hand man could make the defense's job much more difficult. Boston Public Radio's Jim Braude and Margery Eagan will speak with Adam Reilly to get an update from the trial.
