Terry Fitzpatrick

Vice President for Children’s Media and Education

Terry Fitzpatrick is GBH’s Vice President for Children’s Media and Education, overseeing GBH’s children’s and youth broadcast series, digital productions and educational initiatives and expanding GBH’s learning tools and resources for the home and the classroom.

Fitzpatrick oversees the single largest source of children’s programs seen nationally on PBS and online, and he stewards GBH’s First 8 Labs to research and build new digital learning experiences for children. In addition, Fitzpatrick leads GBH Education, which creates outreach activities for students and educators. As part of these efforts, he manages GBH’s partnership with PBS on PBS LearningMedia™, a free K-12 digital media curriculum service reaching some 30 million students in 50 states.

Before joining GBH in 2015, Fitzpatrick spent 18 years with Sesame Workshop, most recently as Chief Content and Distribution Officer, and nine years at Showtime Networks as Vice President for Programming Finance. He began his career at the Joyce Theater Foundation in New York City, where he created and directed the American Theater Exchange.

Fitzpatrick holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Yale University School of Drama and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
