Claudia Palmer
Chief Operating Officer
Claudia Palmer is WGBH’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for overseeing all operations including Finance and Administration, Human Resources, Technology, Legal, Corporate Sponsorship, Digital Services, Marketing and Communications, Media Access Group, National Center for Accessible Media, and the regional TV and radio broadcast services.

Before coming to WGBH in 2018, Palmer spent four years at Reuters as both the Chief Financial Officer for the editorial and commercial activities of the global news organization, and as Chief Business Officer, overseeing revenue-generating activities including the Reuters News Agency, Reuters Content Solutions, and Reuters TV. She also led the development of Reuters Connect, an innovative news delivery platform from the Reuters News Agency.

Prior to Reuters, Palmer spent more than 15 years at EMI, the music recording and song copyright business, where she ran the European region of its music publishing division as their Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Before that, she led Investor Relations for EMI Group. Previously, Palmer was Vice President of Business Development at The North Face. She started her career as a consultant at Bain & Company and The Parthenon Group, both in Boston.

Palmer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
