Dr. Steven C. Storey discusses a procedure to treat fibroids. A transitional hysterectomy keeps one in the hospital for up to five days and takes six to eight weeks for full recovery. However, uterine fibroid embolization requires only one night in the hospital and five to seven days of recovery.
Steven C. Storey, M.D. graduated from St George’s University Hospital in Grenada, West Indies. He received Surgical training from Sound Shore Medical Center at New Rochelle, New York and his Radiology Residency from Westchester Medical Center at New York Medical College. Dr. Storey completed his Fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weil Cornell Medical and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital at New York, New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. He joined Radiology Associates of DeKalb, P.C. in 2007. Dr. Storey has a special interest in Interventional Oncology.
