Since leaving Walter Reed Hospital, where he received a combination of experimental antibodies, the drug remdesivir, and steroids for a coronavirus infection, President Trump has sought to downplay the threat of the contagious disease that has now killed more than 200,000 Americans. His attempt to spin his illness as a sign of strength has brought a combination of adoration from his followers, condemnation from families of the dead, renewed criticism of his handling of the pandemic, and reminders from some observers about the length of time that an infected person can be impacted by the virus.
