Although Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg recently apologized for his expansion of the stop-and-frisk policy while serving as mayor of New York City, critics have pointed out the timing of this mea culpa and the role that the courts played in his initial reversal on the racial profiling practice. Bloomberg also faced renewed criticism during Tuesday night’s Democratic debate in South Carolina for non-disclosure agreements on multiple former employees who complained about sexist treatment while working at his company.
Bloomberg campaign senior adviser Tim O’Brien, who previously was the executive editor of Bloomberg News’ opinion arm, spoke with Jim Braude Wednesday on Greater Boston to defend the candidates' positions.
