This Saturday marks the beginning of National Gun Violence Survivors Week, a commemoration of the fact that, on average, more Americans are killed with guns by early February than in other developed nations in the course of an entire year, according to data from the organization Everytown For Gun Safety.

In for Jim Braude, Adam Reilly spoke to Jody Marchand, an activist with Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense. Marchand tragically lost her daughter when her husband shot both of them and then himself in 2010.
