President Donald Trump was challenged this week by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who said Thursday she thought his aides needed to stage an “intervention” for him on the country’s behalf.

Meanwhile, both leaders faced challenges from within their own ranks: the president’s former secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, said that Trump went into a 2017 meeting with Putin completely unprepared, and the speaker continued to resist calls from within her base to impeach Trump.

To discuss what this means for continued developments in Washington, Jim Braude was joined by Michael Curry, former president of the Boston NAACP and current chair of the National NAACP Advocacy and Policy Committee, and Joe Malone, former Massachusetts treasurer and a Trump supporter.
