A pair of bombshell news stories broke this weekend about the unfolding saga of the investigation into President Trump's ties with Russia. The New York Times reported on Friday that the FBI opened an investigation in 2017 into whether Trump was working on behalf of Russia against American interests, whether knowingly or unwittingly. And on Sunday, The Washington Post reported on Trump's considerable efforts to hide his conversations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, even from his own national security officials.

The revelations added new depth and gravity to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into Russian election meddling and the question of whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.

To discuss what this all means, Jim Braude was joined by Glenn Carle, a former CIA intelligence officer; and George Price, a former federal law enforcement investigator who is now an attorney with Casner & Edwards.
