Massachusetts is about as blue as a state can get, and with republicans about to control the White House and both chambers of the U.S Congress, the implications for federal funding are serious.  Jim talks to Boston Globe State House bureau chief Frank Phillips ( @globefphillips ) and freelance journalist Joanna Weiss ( @joannaweiss ) to get their assessment of how they think the state will fare under a Trump presidency.

There are fears among undocumented immigrants that the harsh rhetoric of Donald Trump's campaign will become policy during his presidency.  WGBH’s Tina Martin (@tinaaroundtown) talked to one young woman who is now worried about what the future holds.

A new HBO documentary, “Marathon:  The Patriots Day Bombing,” premiered in Boston last night.  It chronicles the road to recovery travelled by three of the families injured in the explosions.  Jim talks to one of the survivors, Patrick Downes, about the film.
