Brady and Goodell were face to face, along with a judge, and a lot of lawyers today. The judge pressed the NFL for any direct evidence linking Brady to those deflated footballs.. and NFL lawyers conceded there was no “smoking gun,” but said there was “considerable evidence Brady knew about it."

The judge also asked the players’ union why a team employee would ever let air out of footballs without the quarterback’s knowledge. The union lawyer responded that they don’t concede the balls were even deflated… but added an employee might have done it just because he thought it’d be good for the quarterback.
