It was bound to happen, and this week it did: another big TV name is facing questions over his war coverage claims. NBC’s Brian Williams is sitting on the bench for six months because of his exaggerations, and now Bill O’Reilly of Fox News is under the media glare. Mother Jones magazine reports that for years, O’Reilly has recounted dramatic stories about his war reporting that don’t withstand scrutiny.
