While most Massachusetts politicians have strongly supported having the 2024 Olympics in Boston, one who has come out as a strong opponent is Evan Falchuk, the head of the newly formed United Independent Party. 

"First of all, we haven't seen what's even in the proposal that was made to the U.S. Olympic Committee," Falchuk said, "so the dribs of information that are starting to come out, and the fact that the process so far has been very nontransparent, is a very worrisome sign."
