Public transportation remains shut down in the Boston area in the wake of the massive blizzard.
The MBTA said on its web site on Sunday that its goal is the restoration of service by Monday.
The T asked for the patience and understanding of its customers.
The sytem, including subways, buses and commuter trains, suspended service Friday afternoon.
In addition to clearing snow from tracks, officials have been hampered by the failure of a key communications tower in Quincy.
