Since Russia invaded Ukraine more than a month ago, many Americans have watched the leadership skills of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with admiration, including former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis.

Dukakis told Jim Braude on Greater Boston that Zelenskyy has demonstrated "incredible courage."

"He is in danger constantly... how he's managed to stay alive for heaven's sake through all of this, not to mention provide the kind of leadership and courage that he has, is pretty remarkable," he said.

Dukakis also said that he's impressed with the leadership of President Joe Biden, and said he thinks the U.S. is doing enough to help Ukraine.

The Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation is honoring Zelenskyy with a “World Leader for Peace and Security" award later this month.
