The Women In Comedy Festivalis returning this spring for its 10th season in the Boston area.
Joining Boston Public Radio for a preview of the festivities were performers Julia Jeffries and Kelly MacFarland. Jeffries is a stand-up comic and a third year Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. MacFarland headlined the 2009 Boston Women in Comedy Festival and has performed in comedy clubs, theaters, colleges, on television, and for U.S. troops overseas.
The festival takes place at a number of venues around Boston, Cambridge and Somerville during the first weekend of May. Other headliners include Phoebe Robinson of HBO’s "2 Dope Queens" and Nikki Glaser of Comedy Central’s "Not Safe with Nikki Glaser."
