A glimmer of hope came out of the Korean peninsula this week when a delegation from the South announced that Northern leader Kim Jong Un was open to talking to the U.S. about denuclearization. U.S. officials have been a mix of cautiously optimistic and all-out skeptical, but if true, it would be a real breakthrough for the White House.
