The USS Constitution celebrated the 220th anniversary of its first launch over the weekend with a cruise around Boston Harbor. It was the ship's first time on the water in three years, after extensive renovations in dry-dock. The Constitution's crew was aboard, as were hundreds of guests. WGBH News' Matt Baskin captured some of the sounds of the day, and learned about the history of the Constitution's first launch into the harbor, back in 1797.
