Former FBI Director James Comey is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday, June 7. The committee released Comey's opening statement Wednesday as anticipation of the hearing.

In the statement, Comey writes that President Trump told him "I need loyalty, I expect loyalty," and said “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”
