By all accounts, Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt were supportive partners and loving companions. But their real-life marriage did not match the carefully crafted image perpetuated by the White House. Now Massachusetts author Susan Quinn has focused her latest book on the multiple relationships Eleanor developed outside of her marriage, including her seminal friendship with AP reporter Lorena Hickok.  The book, “Eleanor and Hick: The Love Affair that Shaped a First Lady” is our February selection for “Bookmarked: The Under the Radar Book Club.”
