More single-family homes were sold in Massachusetts last month than in any March since 2004, according to one group that tracks the market.

The Massachusetts Association of Realtors announced Tuesday that the 3,452 homes sold last month was 23 percent more than during March 2015.

The Warren Group, using different figures in its calculations, said the number of single-family home sold was up more than 32 percent year over year.

The Warren Group also announced that for just the second time in 20 years, the median price of a condominium surpassed the median price of a single-family home. It was attributed in large part to the to the many luxury condos being sold in Boston.

Both organizations reported that condo sales jumped about 25 percent year over year.
