On December 1, 2018, Brian O’Donovan broadcast A Celtic Sojourn live from the WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library. Audiences got to meet O'Donovan in person, enjoy live performances from a range of traditional and contemporary Celtic music, and were able to witness radio being made in real-time.

The broadcast included performances by:

Lindsay Straw, a singer of traditional ballads and a wonderful instrumentalist (guitar/mandolin). She grew up in Montana, but grew into her art when she became immersed in Boston's Irish and folk music scenes.

The Revels Chorus- Using a truly unique blend of music, dance and storytelling, Revels engages audiences in theatrical and musical experiences that bring the world’s cultural traditions and celebrations to life. The theme this year is Nordic, and some of that music and song, as well as some classics, were on display at the Library.

Joey Abarta is a piper of note, and was with us at last year’s series of Christmas Celtic Sojourn concerts.
