Robert Kempf
Vice President for Digital Services
Bob Kempf is WGBH’s Vice President for Digital Services, leading the organization’s digital strategy, services and operations. Kempf works with production units across the organization to strengthen the digital expressions of their content, support digital innovation, deepen audience engagement and develop digital revenue streams. He is responsible for product, strategy and content for and WGBH's podcast development unit. Kempf is also responsible for identifying strategies that leverage emerging digital media platforms as consumer media engagement evolves.

Prior to joining WGBH in 2015, Kempf led NPR’s Digital Services division, providing digital capabilities to NPR’s member stations. Before that, he was Vice President for Product Development at, then the website of the Boston Globe. He has also held digital leadership roles at Gatehouse Media and with the Dow Jones Community News Group.

A graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and philosophy, Kempf was a 2010 fellow in the Punch Sulzberger News Media Executive Leadership program at Columbia University.
