LEADERSHIP
Benjamin Godley
President, WGBH Business Services and CEO, Contributor Development Partnership
Ben Godley is President of WGBH Business Services and CEO of the Contributor Development Partnership (CDP). He leads the expansion of new business models and services based at WGBH that are designed to strengthen the public media system and its mission. CDP is a data and fundraising services initiative conceived to develop and promote fundraising best practices for local public media stations across the country.

Godley joined WGBH in 2008 as Executive Vice President, was named COO in 2010, and additionally named President of Business Services in 2017. During his tenure as COO, WGBH increased its operating revenue and endowment to record levels and advanced its fiscal management practices, operations and administrative systems. He oversaw a dramatic expansion of WGBH’s regional radio and news services, and extended WGBH’s community presence with a first-ever broadcast facility inside the Boston Public Library. In addition to launching CDP, Godley’s vision to develop technology-based initiatives resulted in NGO Connect, a Salesforce application now used in managing the fundraising relationships of public television donors nationally.

Prior to joining WGBH, Godley served in senior positions with Mitt Romney's presidential campaign and on the executive staff of the Massachusetts governor, and co-founded and was president and CEO of the award-winning agency CGN Marketing & Creative Services. Godley has served or currently serves in a variety of capacities on a number of boards including the Massachusetts Children's Trust Fund, Boston Medical Center, roundCorner and RadioPublic. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northeastern University.
