Liaquat Ahamed holds degrees in economics from Harvard and Cambridge Universities and has been a professional investment manager for 25 years. He is currently an adviser to several hedge fund firms, including Rock Creek Group and Rohatyn Group, and is on the board of trustees of the Brookings Institution.

Edward Whitelock is the co-author of Apocalypse Jukebox: The End of the World in American Popular Music. He is also a professor of English at Gordon College.
