  • Kim Cobb spent two years at the California Institute of Technology in the department of geological and planetary sciences, after earning her doctorate in oceanography in 2002. She joined the faculty at Georgia Tech in 2004.
  • John Nolan is a trained studio artist, art historian, scholar, writer, local history expert, and father of three. He is also the owner of Greenville History Tours.
  • David Janssen is also an associate professor of English at Gordon College, and is the associate editor for *Studies in Popular Culture*.
  • Josh Hunter is the illustrator of Segalstad's *The 27s: The Greatest Myth of Rock & Roll*, a non-fiction narrative that tells the history of rock & roll, as seen through the lives and legacies of 34 musicians who each died at the age of 27.
  • Leah Ward Sears, appointed in 1992 by Governor Zell Miller, D-GA, was the first woman in the state to hold the position of chief justice and believed to be the first African American woman to become chief justice of any state supreme court in the US. Sears is also the youngest person ever to be appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court.
  • Paul Butler is considered the country's leading expert on jury nullification. As a former federal prosecutor, he provides legal commentary for TV networks, and has been featured on *60 Minutes*. He also has written for *The Washington Post*, *The Boston Globe*, and *The Los Angeles Times*.
  • Liaquat Ahamed holds degrees in economics from Harvard and Cambridge Universities and has been a professional investment manager for 25 years. He is currently an adviser to several hedge fund firms, including Rock Creek Group and Rohatyn Group, and is on the board of trustees of the Brookings Institution.
  • Edward Whitelock is the co-author of Apocalypse Jukebox: The End of the World in American Popular Music. He is also a professor of English at Gordon College.
  • Fred Whitehurst is bereavement services manager at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care.
  • Ranjan Paul practices internal medicine. His specialty is in infectious diseases. He completed his medical studies in 1987 at the University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
