Who says ice cream is just for kids?! As a precursor to the WGBH Ice Cream FunFest this summer, join us for an adults-only ice cream extravaganza on Wednesday, May 23 at WGBH Studios. From classic flavors to new, imaginative combinations, “Battle of the Scoops” is here to showcase the best of the best in homemade New England craft ice cream. So grab a spoon to vote for your favorite. We’ll announce the winner at the end of the event for best chocolate, best wild card, and people’s choice and award the trophies at the WGBH Ice Cream FunFest in July.

Executive Pastry Chef Joshua Livsey uses local ingredients to create seasonal desserts that compliment Harvest's contemporary New England cuisine. At the ripe age of 28, Livsey is an up-and-coming powerhouse in Boston's pastry scene, known for inventive desserts featuring delicate details and mouthwatering flavor combinations. Livsey gained national recognition for his exquisite talents and creativity on Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship in 2017, where he finished as a finalist in the nation-wide competition.
Chef Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks and Tiger Mama in Boston has made a name for herself nationwide for her dynamic personality, fierce work ethic and distinct ability to create restaurants that are warm, creative, and instantly loveable. Outside of the kitchen, Tiffani placed as runner-up in Top Chef Season One, has been a frequent guest judge on Food Network's Chopped and Chopped Grill Masters, and has competed on Top Chef All-Stars.
