Massachusetts restaurants got the green light to reopen with outdoor table service this week. With it came a checklist of safety guidelines from the state — including mask requirements, distanced tables, and required reservations — to help keep the spread of COVID-19 down.

Below are some Boston-area restaurants that are officially open, implementing new guidelines to keep everyone safe, and ready to see you for patio season.

Alcove, Downtown

Alcove extended their Lovejoy Wharf patio for reopening on June 8. You can make a reservation for waterfront dining by calling or visiting their website.

Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen, Brighton

Brato unveiled a new patio to accommodate socially distant dining. They opened June 10, and dining hours are 4-10pm on weekdays, and 11am - 10pm on weekends. Reservations are required and can be made on their website.

If you’re looking for some Southern hospitality, the patio at Buttermilk and Bourbon is open, and reservations are required.

La Fabrica Central, Cambridge

The Davis Square spot is firing up its wood fire grill and reopening its sidewalk patio this week. Reservations can be made through Resy. A 3% charge will be added to each bill to offset the cost of protective gear for staff.

This waterfront patio re-opened for outdoor dining on June 8. Like its sister restaurant Pier 6, a 22% service charge will be added to bills to support the kitchen and wait staff.

Starting June 7, this favorite seafood spot will take over the corner of Newbury and Dartmouth St. to offer outdoor dining on an expanded patio. Seating is by reservation only, with walk-ins being accommodated if space allows.
