Sue Williams One of the world's oldest civilizations, China today is undergoing monumental social and economic transformations as it takes a more prominent place on the world stage. The pace of change quickens as preparations intensify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Delve into the dichotomies of old and new China on this fascinating WGBH LearningTour, hosted by Frontline filmmaker Sue Williams, who will draw on her extensive experience producing many documentaries on China for public television.

Highlights of the trip:
-A private tour of the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in Chengdu
