Tastes of Europe: A Jacques Pépin Culinary Cruise, co-hosted by Yankee Magazine Food Editor Annie Copps
Don't miss this extraordinary 16-day cruise from London to Rome onboard the elegant mid-size ship Marina, with stops in 7 countries. Gourmands will find opportunities onboard and ashore irresistible as Marina calls on more than a dozen destinations renowned for their cuisine, wine and artistry. Included are Paris, Bordeaux, Bilbao, Seville, Casablanca, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, and Florence, among others. World renowned Master Chef and PBS personality Jacques Pépin hosts this culinary sojourn, presiding over signature menus in seven distinctive restaurants, and offering demonstrations in the Bon Appetit Culinary Center, the only hands-on cooking school at sea.
WGBH LearningTour participants will be privately hosted by Yankee Magazine Food Editor Annie Copps, heard on 89.7 WGBH Radio's Daily Dish, and a frequent guest chef on WGBH TV cooking shows and the Today Show. As a television producer, she made her mark with two popular PBS series, Cooking with Todd English and Julia Child's Kitchen — where she was an assistant to the legendary grande dame of French cuisine. Before beginning her media career, Annie honed her skills as a cook at several notable Boston-area restaurants, including Olives, Jasper's, The Harvest, and Michela's. She also writes Eating New England, a blog about New England food.
Exclusive experiences for LearningTour participants with Annie Copps will include private cooking classes on shore and in the Bon Appetit Culinary Center, special shore excursions with vineyard and market tours, welcome and farewell receptions, and a private cocktail party with Jacques Pépin.
Cabin fares range from $7199 - $9799 per person, including free airfare from Boston, all on board gratuities and meals, and a $600 tax-deductible contribution to WGBH with membership in the WGBH Leadership Circle.
