Ben Rudnick & Friends play the hippest family music around. With countless awards to their credit, including SEVEN Parent's Choice awards, their adventurous, high-energy blend of happy, upbeat acoustic music is guaranteed to entertain the entire family. Bending musical styles from country to bluegrass, rock to second-line New Orleans, their original songs and fun takes on familiar tunes make you sing, make you dance and make you happy. Join the fun!
11am: Matt Heaton
Matt Heaton believes music for kids can be entertaining for both children AND parents. His songs are a mix of rockabilly, surf, american roots and Irish traditional music, delivered with a wry sense of humor and a sincere sense of fun. Children and adults respond to his musicianship and variety. The adults in the room particularly appreciate the Muppet-esque touches of humor and observations of kid behavior. Whether you call it children's music, family music, kindie or toddlerbilly it's sure to please listeners of all ages.
12pm: Semi Good Lookin'
From the 70's and 80's through the 90's and even today's classics, Semi Good Lookin' has it all! With covers spanning almost five decades, this six-piece band can get the party started anywhere. Acclaimed as Boston's "premier moderately good looking cover band," an SGL show will feel like a musical journey through the ages. Catch them around the greater Boston area, and be sure to keep an eye on the roof — they might just blow it off!
1pm: Philip Alexander
Sing, play, grow… dance and laugh too! Singer/songwriter and popular children's entertainer Philip Alexander performs traditional favorites and well loved original songs and stories. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Philip's performances include a rich variety of sounds: guitar, harmonica, ukulele, dulcimer, ocarina, bamboo flute, djembe drum and boomwhackers. You will be inspired by this unique and talented performer! For children ages 1 to 10 and the grown-ups who love to play with them.
2pm: Molly Baechtold, Arealist
Molly first stepped onto the stage at the age of four performing the "barnyard boogie" at a local dance recital in NH. As a painfully shy kid, she found her passion through physical expression. She continued her career of dance and musical theatre through college, performing with the UNH Dance Company and summerstock theatre in Maine and NH. While in college, she took to the air at the UNH aerial program and never looked back. Molly performs and teaches aerial arts full time. She has been a member of the Boston University faculty for four years, as well as several circus schools in the Boston area. Her performances have ranged from Cirque du Soleil's anniversary celebration in Times Square, arena concerts at colleges across the country, and events with the Boston Celtics. Molly is thrilled to share her art with audiences large and small.
3pm: The Yuri Prince of Color Show
The Yuri Prince of Color show can be best described as an interactive variety experience for children two to nine, including dancing and singing, magic, parades, juggling, stories and more. No two parties are the same — except for the giggles, belly laughs, shrieks and smiles — as Yuri tailors each performance to the moods and interests of his young audience and engages everyone in the festivities.
