Mozart Replica Piano
Value: $13,500
Donated by: Professor Vosgerchian's two sons
This is an unusual WGBH Auction opportunity, to bid on such a beautiful and remarkable musical instrument. This fortepiano was custom built in the late 1960s by Philip Belt for Luise Vosgerchian, professor of music at Harvard University. It's a replica of the type of piano Mozart played as he composed his concerti, sonatas, and other works in the late 18th century.
